An educational game online designed for children to learn about the traditional houses in Ghardaïa

An initiative of Montada project

In the framework of MONTADA project, which aims at the conservation and revitalisation of Mediterranean traditional architecture through the active involvement of local populations in Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia, an online traditional architecture game has been designed for children between the ages of six and nine.

“The game allows children to discover basic architectural principles while developing their creativity through other items such as furniture and characters. It consists in placing furniture items, architectural features and persons in a traditional house patio. The goal is to develop their interest in and knowledge about the architecture of traditional houses in the Algerian town of Ghardaïa”, explains Montserrat Villaverde from Montada.
