Call for partners for a study visit in Netanya, Israel

Bet Elazraki Children`s Home, located in Netanya, Israel, was founded in 1969 to help children in distress. Today we are the loving home of more than 200 children, boys and girls ages 0-18, whose parents are incapable of raising them. This is due to violence in the home, drug abuse, alcoholism, mental illness, severe poverty, abandonment or a combination of the above. 90% of our children are second and third generation to the vicious cycle of distress, meaning that their parents also grew up in institutions. The Israeli Welfare Department and the Israeli Courts refer each child that we receive at our doorstep. The children are from all over Israel. Every child is burdened with painful memories. Our devoted, professional staff lives at the Home with the children and attends to their physical needs, education, enrichment and entertainment. In this manner we try to provide them with a normal family environment and help them build a new bright future for themselves.
Our main goal is to break the vicious cycle of distress into which they were born with no fault on their part.
Our vision becoming Reality…
We have already seen success with our graduates.
Currently we have over 100 graduates, 27 of them are married, 8 are currently studying for their BA and 3 are already in the process of their MA, over 30 have already finished their higher education and…we have 37 grandchildren.
We want to see our children raise their children in normal, loving & promoting homes.
We want to organize a study visit to our home ,to share experiences of unique projects working with disadvantaged youth learn about youth policy in other countries and to build a networking of organizations in the field in order to develop future co-operations and partnerships.
We are interested in applying to the February deadline for the Euro Med Youth Programme.
We will appreciate quick response.
